Advanced Technical Concepts is delighted to have been awarded a certificate of excellence in innovation in recognition of its successful completion of InterTrade Ireland’s Challenge Programme 2015.
Aimed at MD’s and CEOs of ambitious SMEs, the InterTradeIreland Challenge Programme allows business owners to transform their company’s prospects in just nine months by learning and applying the most effective methods of generating, marketing and launching new products and services.

Attaining this certificate involved developing and implementing innovative approaches in the areas of seals and gaskets, hydraulics and bottling. The Challenge Programme lasts 6 months but is intended to provide SMEs with a methodology for developing a pipeline of innovative projects on an ongoing basis. All staff were involved in the initial stages and contributed by suggesting innovative ideas. Project leaders then monitored implementation and progress at monthly follow up meetings. Iain Bruce of Matrix UK served as the coach for the duration of the project. Several innovation sub-projects were successfully completed.
An important learning point was learning how to test an idea by using ‘customer – proof – promise’ to test the market quickly and inexpensively with regards to an idea.
